This is a really fun game, even though I've been fired twice. :)
I created a team in England's Conference division and got fired after one year (I'll call it a valuable learning year). I took a job at Macclesfield and earned a promotion to League 2 in my first year. In my second year I finished mid-table and in year three, finished dead last and was relegated. In my fourth year and first year back in the Conference, I went to the final matchday in first place needing a win or a tie to gain automatic promotion. We lost 4-1 and then lost in the first round of the playoffs. In my fifth year, we finished 14th in the Conference and I was fired.
So, after 6 years and repeated failures, I'm hoping for some feedback and ideas on the best ways to spend my coins, budgets from the board, etc to maximize my return.

building a good management team and squad is definitely a priority, so training your manager etc is worth it as well.
